Hello again Yelp! Life has finally slowed down enough for me to write reviews once again :) came out to Pour House for a little family send off. First of all, kudos to them for handling a party of 20 on a Saturday night! Our server was great, offering great suggestions and was pretty knowledgeable about the cider menu. Personally I would have liked 2 servers since it took him a while to get through 20 orders while still taking care of another table or two, but again he did well! I started off with a short pour of the Original Sin Cider. I appreciate that they have short pours of all their beers! This one was a great suggestion from our server, with a nice crisp green apple flavor. Ended up also trying sister's peace cider, which really tasted like biting into a ripe peach! The table ended up ordering quite a few appetizers and starters: Pretzel bites: pretty good bites....pretzels were soft and you could really taste the IPA in the sauce Cheese curds: if you're looking for your good ol Wisconsin cheese curds, you will be disappointed. I think they should rename these as cheese fritters, to be more accurate. Delish....yes. Sadly, squeaky cheese curds they are not:( 1871 chili: ok....by FAR the best chili I've had in a long time! This is a true Texas chili....aka NO BEANS! The addition of the creme fraiche is delish! Short ribs: I had a hard time picking my dinner, but our server gave me great suggestions on everything I was considering. The short ribs were definitely the stick-to-your-ribs meal I was looking for since it was chilly today. The ribs were pretty tender, although a little dry on the outside. The bacon tomato jam was a good accompaniment to the beef, and it came with a pretty tasty au jus gravy which I'm glad I got on the side. The star of the meal, however was the shrimp grits!! I could have eaten a whole BOWL of the grits and been perfectly happy! I'm not sure what cream/cheese concoction they used for the grits but they were so creamy, seasoned perfectly, and came with pretty large pieces of shrimp! The one downside was where we sat, which was right next to the door of the patio. Although perfect for corralling a toddler while still allowing her to roam around, the opening and closing of the door made for a chilly dinner :( Is this a keeper? Yes! And since the menu seems to change pretty frequently, it's always worth a try for some new flavors!

Old Town Pour House was a remarkable surprise. Beer bar restaurants often underwhelm me because beer food fare--meat, bread, fried stuff--doesn't interest me. I'm at these places to be supportive of my boyfriend's preferences, which means I order the veggie burger that is rarely anything to write home about. Old Town Pour House, however, has a gem of a veggie burger! It may even be the *best* veggie burger I've ever had (top honor previously went to the quinoa and black bean burger at Nashville's Burger Up). The burger is made with a savory mix of garbanzo beans, black beans, and red quinoa and covered in a lovely crushed tortilla crust. It reminded me of falafel, only in beautifully-presented colorful patty form. I wish I had taken a picture, but I'm sure I will when I return to Pour House in the near future. My PSA for vegetarians aside, here are some other comments: -My beer nerd boyfriend was pleasantly surprised that the encyclopedia of beers in the menu were all available on tap. Even I took advantage of the beer menu and ordered a 6 oz. of Finch's delicious Secret Stache stout. - The appetizer of pretzel bites was comprised of little balls of dough very similar in size to Dunkin Donuts Munchkins. I found them to be a delicious way to enjoy pretzels yet also limit portions before the meal. -There are three desserts on the menu, and my party ordered and enjoyed them all: baked cookie dough, bread pudding with rum raisin ice cream, and peanut butter chocolate pie. All very rich and indulgent! -Very friendly service that was just attentive enough. We went on a slow Sunday during lunch time though, so I can't comment on how it is during peak hours.

This is the coolest place for people who love craft beer! Which is, A LOT of people in Chigago. Expect the Oak Brook Pour House to be crowded during happy hour and evenings, just like the one in Old Town. However, because it is the burbs, the crowd starts lightening up at around 9 PM (sweet!) Pour house has nearly 100 beers on draft which is way awesome. This is what keeps me coming back! It's so cool to see all the beer on tap behind the glass at the bar. I can't imagine what their energy bill is keeping all those kegs cold. If you are overwhelmed by the selection of beer in the menu, just look for the card with seasonal specials! My recommendation is to get a beer flight, choosing 4 beers off this menu. I've gotten a few of the food items off of the appetizer menu, and I remember them being good. I loved the filet sliders- they were fresh, and cooked to the perfect medium rare. My coworkers and friends talk about how good the food is too! Highly recommend Pour House for a fun place for beer & happy hour in the west burbs.

Came here on a Thursday night for a drink and app before dinner because it seemed like the coolest low key spot but the service was really slow and every time my drink came out something was in there. First a hair on my lemon then black stuff.. My experience wasnt horrible though because the weather was absolutely perfect! Ordered fried pickles and cob salad which was pretty good so I gave them 3 stars, my lemon martini was pretty good too.. Light and refreshing.. Looking back food and drinks were good, I'll change to 4 stars!

99 bottles of beer on the wall I lied, they only have 90 beers on the wall. ALL on tap! I'm not a beer drinker at all but usually when I do get beer it's always draft. These kind of places I'm usually quick to try the flights so it was kind of amazing to me that they had so many that were able to offer a Cider flight. ($14) (Binny's should thank you as I now have to have Ace Cider in my collection.) Cheese Curds are awesome. When I dipped a cheese curd into the sauce I notice the smokey taste in the tomato sauce. (I didn't read the menu so it was a surprise to me) It slightly just made want a cheese sandwich with tomato soup. Order the Pour House ($13) I thought it was the flights talking the first time that made me think the burger was good but after a 2nd visit I can confirm that I'm in love with this Burger. Although I original was going to say it's a bit expensive. Both times I ordered I had to wrap it up to go. The fries are good season very well. I usually hate talking about price in reviews but it's a tad bit pricey, but think they do good job with the food. Minus the food court and McDonalds; mostly every restaurant by the mall is a tad bit pricey. So this really shouldn't be that much of a surprise. Menu is smaller than most spots, but still a decent number of items to pick from. I like that they have a weekly menu that changes up. So it's possible to order something new every time you go there. (drawback something you love will be on that weekly menu and gone read BACON FUNNEL CAKE) Complimentary parking during lunch time. Bar is open late. I have seen several times people sitting out in the patio @ 12 am

I've only been to Old Town Pour House for drinks but I knew I would come back for lunch or dinner. I noticed in in open table so I thought I would make a reservation and check out their lunch menu. I arrived and was seated right away. I was there as they were open so there were only a few people seated. I went ahead and order a 312 beer--I was shocked at he price! $8! They do have a large selection of beer. I would recommend taking your time with the drink list. I ordered the chicken caesar wrap for lunch. The menu listed a lime Caesar dressing and I thought that would be a nice twist. The wrap was ok but pretty dry. I think I will order something else if I return for lunch or dinner. My husband ordered a burger and that looked pretty good. Our server was just ok. He was very sarcastic in the beginning...not the best way to greet his table. He brought the food and drinks but I did notice all the servers standing around near our table. Maybe it's a different atmosphere on a busy night. Overall-- The visit was ok but I think I will only return for drinks.

Since I've been staying in the area I have been to the Pour House 3 times in the last week. It's been a mix of customer entertainment and dinner with colleagues, Last night we ended up sitting in a booth by the entrance and the waitress havppened to be our bartender from the evening before. She actually remembered what I was drinking. That is excellent service! The brisket sandwich is also very nice. The cheese sauce along with the BBQ side is well worth the price!

Fantastic beer selection here. There were so many choices I wasn't sure which way to go. I finally went for the Anthem cherry cider. The food was decent. We started with the buffalo wings. They were more spicy than most, so I was definitely pleased here. I also ordered a chili, and wasn't thrilled. It was made with smoked brisket. All I could taste was the smoke and burnt ends of the meat. Not the best chili I've ever had to say the least. My husband got the meatloaf. He thought it was just ok on the flavor spectrum. The gravy on the meatloaf was pretty good, however. The service was horrible. The place was far from packed because we came early. The guy that took our order never looked at us. He stared somewhere off in the distance the whole time. We had to ask for water 3 times, and when he did bring it, he only brought one glass. I figure he probably wasn't sure there were 2 people at the table because he never looked at us. Also, I specifically asked for my bowl of chili to come out with my husband's meatloaf because the chili was my dinner. They brought it out with the wings. I asked guy to keep it warm and bring it back with my husband's meatloaf, and he seemed irritated. Sorry to upset the balance man, but it's not really a big deal. Would only come back for the beer.

Came here for drinks after dinner at Reel Club. Very nice atmosphere. We sat inside at first since there wasnt any available tables outside. Good place to come for drinks and hangout after work or just hanging out. We went outside afterwards since there was a table available. Played nice music in the background, weather was perfect. Good experience. My team really enjoyed the different flights they offered.. their favorite was the cider flight.

I think this place was pretty decent. The service was slow, and it was on the expensive side for what it was, but the food was good and they have a very, very good beer list. My husband and I sat outside, each had a beer and a burger and the bill came to 45$ before tip... I don't think I'd make an effort to go back, but if I was in the area and was very hungry/thirsty, I'd rather go here than bevy of steakhouses in the immediate vicinity.

Do come for the Bloody Mary (Churchill)! We loved them. Nice beer selection. Friends loved the fish tacos but my brisket was very fatty-so much that I sent it back and while they replaced it with a salad at my request, it made me hesitant to agree to return when planning another dinner out with DH. I do recommend the friend pickle and it was my favorite part of the meal! I can say that we will give this place another try as the ambiance and sticks are well done. But this is the second or third time the food has disappointed me. The spinach salad was ok but more like what I'd expect to find in an airport restaurant than at Oakbrook dining!

A-OK is truly the perfect adjective for this restaurant. I came here with my daughter for the mac n cheese competition. Here is how I rate the 4 competitors: WINNER - Quack "n" cheese from Seasons 52 - I read this going in and thought...really, duck confit? BUT yes, it was amazing. The Korean glaze worked well with the cheese and duck, a touch of spice would have been nice though. this one actually won the whole competition. #2 - Pumpkin Gouda from Redstone - so good, fantastic taste and texture. #3 - Truffled Mac from Reel Club - whatever crumbs where on here complimented the mac n cheese so well. The taste of truffle is always good, but now it's getting kind of old news ... #4 - Baked truffle from the Pour House - bland beyond belief - just because you add a sliver of black truffle on it doesn't make it any better. one sliver can't really add the woodiness taste to everything. Is it so bad that on their facebook page I posted that I was happy that the quack n cheese won and that I voted for them? They deleted my comment for some reason...?? Service was great except I ordered a soup that I never received. My daughter enjoyed her plain American mac and cheese. Best part is that instead of the same ol' crayons they give wikki stix out for the kids. These are awesome and kept my daughter entertained, so thanks for that. I definitley will be back to try the cider flight one day ... mmmm

Lots of beer, some decent food, lots of TVs. I've been here twice and enjoyed myself but that's probably due to the suds since the food was just ok. I've had the chili and the duck confit nachos which were good. The nachos needed more duck but I liked the crispy wontons wrappers that were used instead of corn chips. Fish tacos were decent also. The Caesar salad was meh - overly dressed and boring.

Great great beer selection. A bit over priced though. Just had the turkey burger. Fries were incredible but turnkey burger was dry and unflavorful.

I love this place! It's right in the oakbrook mall so perfect place to fuel up before or after some intense shopping. They have outside seating with tv and fireplace as well. Staff are always friendly as helpful on beer choices. I'm not a big beer drinker but I love their cider. I like the cherry one but just tried the pumpkin flavored for fall and I definitely approve. They have a million selections- banana bread beer! We love the chili and corn bisque (with real corn) to start. It's a must! I've tried the beet salad and it's really good, dressing is perfect. Always try their specials- today we had BBQ quesadilla and it was good- it came with a BBQ dipping sauce which was too much BBQ if you ask me but still yummy. This portion was huge- enough for three people. Come here to watch games, they have upscale bar food and large beer selection!

The hubby and I have come here a couple times with friends and always have a great time! My most important tip: MAKE A RESERVATION!!! They usually have an hour plus wait for walk ins! Yikes!! They have a great bar area and quite a bit of seating. Their extensive beer menu can be overwhelming but the staff is quite knowledgable on the beers! Food has always been good! I love the fried pickles and last time the hubby got the fish and child Which were pretty decent! Price wise I would say they are upper average for their food and average for their drinks! They have fun music and videos playing starting at about 830/9 which adds more fun to the evening! Parking sucks over there, so park by The Lord & Taylor!!! Enjoy! Have a beer for me!

Would you like to know when businesses start losing stars?! It's no wonder this place only has 3 stars with 90 reviews. Went here recently when my company office party of 20-25 people to get drinks. After being barely greeted my a waiter that looked like he didn't want to be there himself, took our order. He told my co-worker "I can't read your mind." What waiter would ever say that in this business? Not mention this place is a gold mine for folks networking after work. Bad customer service my friends. You need to train your staff better. As the night went on and the tabs went up, they decided to hold my other co-workers coat hostage because another person at her table didn't pay his $20 bill. How is that her fault? And how can you legally hold a coat for ransom?!?! Your business is just waiting to get sued by the wrong person your staff decides to take things from. Get your act together or word of mouth and bad reviews will ruin what you started.

I have been here a few times and I really like this place. I love the place itself all the way around. Great drink selection, a variety of beers, the food is good, it is a great place to start out your night or go catch a game since they have TVs all over. I mostly always sit at the bar, I have not had a bad experience there. The bartenders are always attentive and take care of everyone fairly quickly, even when it is super crazy. It can get very busy on the weekends or a night that a major sports event is on so get there early to get a seat at the bar or make a reservation. The crowd is always fun and their little seating area outside with the fireplace is pretty nifty. I have ordered a few of their appetizers and salads and I have liked everything I have tried. I was there this Thursday and the guys seated next to me ordered the pork chop and OMG did it look absolutely delicious!! They were both raving about how great it was. It made my little salad look pitiful, lol. I will be ordering the pork chop and bringing my appetite next time that I am there.

Don't order shrimps they are too spicy. Don't order steak salad , steak was dry and over grilled, disgusting on taste. Fish tacos are okay. Atmosphere is fine so 3 out of 5.

Stellar draft beer selection. The largest in the Midwest... or so their telephone on-hold recording claims. I'd believe it. And boy will you pay for it. Buffalo Shrimp. Just get like 3 orders of those. Done and done. (and then hope someone else picks up the tab because it's like $15 for 5 shrimp) (but I gotta say, TOTALLY worth the splurge) Trust me. I know my skrimps from Buffalo. The Chef here. He knows what he's doing. I can't wait to come back. I've got my eyes on you, Lobster Roll. The only neg I can grasp at is that you pay about $2 more per beer than you'd be paying for that same exact beer at just about any other bar in the tri-county area. It seems especially high for a place that specializes in craft beer, but they do have the best draft selection I've seen, so I'm sure keeping all those kegs stocked costs a pretty penny... not to mention that they're actually located (sort of) within Neiman Marcu$ at Oakbrook Mall, and I'm positive their rent tab is astronomical. If the higher price point beer offends you, you can of course go to any number of other Chicagoland businesses who cater to brew-minded folk, but if you're already at Oakbrook Mall and need a good beer, Old Town Pour House is a REALLY nice option to have and I, for one, have to say that having OTPH here makes going to the mall a little less stressful knowing you can kick back with a high-quality cold one, and a lot more appetizing knowing I can hoard a plate of buffalo shrimp here. Parking can be a pain in the ass if you don't know the parking trick (which I'm not openly sharing because I still want to be able to do the trick the next time I come here and want to park), but you can also valet for something like $4, which is probably worth it to avoid the headache. I came in during a weird off-peak hour (2pm on Tuesday) where the whole place was basically empty and still got the same great service and atmosphere that you'd expect to find during peak restaurant/money-making hours. I think that says a lot about the quality of the staff with how well they uphold standards of service throughout a long day with many ups and downs in seating and turning tables. Had I done a full meal here with a beer I could have easily ran a tab of $50 just for myself, so that's something to know going in. Don't expect pubs-style pricing or eats, think gastropub and know that while your wallet may be lighter upon leaving, your stomach will certainly be full of happy and hoppy vibes.

The food is certainly nothing to rave about. Haven't really found anything that's too fond. Burgers are rally sub standard. Calamari was hard and didn't taste fresh. Small food selection in general. As pretty much any restaurant in the mall parking might be a pain u less you want to resort to valet. This place is not five stars because it doesn't offer beer specials or happy hour. Service is too laissez faire nothing that compares to places around. Water refills took quite long, greeting a table too a while as well as getting our drinks and checks. Nice place to try craft beers and hang around the fireplace and catch a game but nothing more to this place. Crowd and music are decent 30/40 crowd type the times I been there it seemed.

Very nice outdoor seating area & great beer selection. My date & I shared a few appetizers, that were okay. If we go back we'll have to try the entrees. Our waitress was Crystal & she was great. Very attentive & helpful.

First off.. Gorgeous outdoor seating. Seriously, this patio is beautiful and surprisingly not extremely hot on hot and humid days. I think that is because NM and Perry's up top, block the sun a bit. I mainly came here because someone told me about the Cheese Curds and Filet Sliders. Both were great! The mini Filet sliders had so much taste to them.. well done! However, the rest of the food is pretty basic. The fries were not that good, nor were the fried pickles. This is place is more of a place where you socialize, have a drink(s) and eat. I will definitely go back to do this. However, next time all I want will just be the cheese curds. I don't have too much to say about this place. It has great people watching and is your typical outdoor/indoor bar and restaurant. Don't get me wrong, I will come back to this place, but in a group, not for a date.

Suburban beer enthusiasts rejoice! Old Town Pour House now has a location in Oak Brook Mall. My city friends were raving about how much they loved Pour House so when we had the chance we quickly took advantage of their 90+ taps and American menu. We had a reservation, but arrived 30 minutes early and we were seated in minutes. They do not have a lot of room at the long bar for you to stand and wait so I was glad that we didn't have to wait long. The atmosphere is very LOUD. It was difficult for my boyfriend and I to talk to each other with how loud the music is playing in the place. It grew frustrating as the night went on because it's hard to have a date without conversation. They had an incredible beer menu, but our waiter clearly had not been educated on the menu. We asked the question, "What specials do you have?" We were met with a blank stare until he started reading off of the specials menu we hadn't noticed on the table. We asked, "What pairs well with the brisket or pulled pork?" Blank stares. We knew that the place was newer so we decided to just make our own beer decisions since we were causing our server distress. Their food menu takes what you know about American food and turns it upside down. We ordered the fried pickles, bbq pulled pork, and the brisket. The pickles were sliced too thick and breaded too heavily for my taste. The batter had great flavor, but it was very difficult to eat the pickle slices because they were so large. The BBQ pork had a smoky heat that filled your entire mouth with heat. It was very flavorful, but the seasoning was more than I could handle. My boyfriend had the brisket and we both agreed that it was very well prepared and the Hawaiian roll was a great choice for this sandwich. We were both disappointed with the French fries. There was nothing special about the fries at all. They need an aoli or a fried egg on top to call themselves "American with a twist." I'm interested to see what becomes of this restaurant as it settles into it's new location. The suburbs need more restaurants for beer and food pairings.

This place is mostly your average sports bar. Slightly upscale since it is connected to Oakbrook mall. There also looked like there was the option of a valet. I came on a Friday night with my main squeeze around 10pm and the place was pretty packed but there was no wait, which was good. I had a glass of wine (weird, I know since this place has many beers, but I was craving a glass of wine), and the cheese curds. I really enjoy trying cheese curds at different places. These cheese curds were perfectly fried and not too greasy. I didn't have any other of the food since I had dinner earlier in the night, but my boyfriend's burger looked good and large.

Pour House is now one of my favorite suburban bars. The service is good and there looks to be a change in management, everyone working is much more friendly. The food isn't bad, but it could be better.

Ridiculous price of $15 glass of wine without being told. Always wanted to try this place and was able to stop for a drink after having my birthday dinner at Wildfire next door. My husband ordered a craft draft and I asked what red wine they had. The bartender told me Cabernet or Pinot Noir. I chose pinot noir. He then asked bottle or on tap. Weird to have wine from tap so I said bottle. It was A to Z pinot noir. We finished that drink and got our bill. It was $21. MY GLASS OF WINE WAS $15! You would think that could have been mentioned. I will not be returning.

There is no way this place should have under 5 stars. We came in around lunch hour and there was plenty of seating. Our server was great! Ordered the Pour House Burger. Holy EFF! Amazing. The chili tho.......I have no words!!!!!!!! Yeah so even after we paid more than we normally would for a burger (approx $13), it was SOOOOOO worth it.. Did I mention the chili?

The good- Beer selection -layout The bad-salty food. Especially the burgers. Not sure if they are frozen or fresh, but they seem frozen. Will return to this place for the beer not necessarily the food.

This place has great potential, sadly some employees ruin it. DJ loves 80s hip-hop? Focus on customer service and smile... You work in a BAR! The service is hit or miss, after visiting 10 times I can confidently say the problem is lack of capable management. Great potential, just fire the GM!

Great place, nice patio with fireplaces. Amazing beer selections and custom beer flight options. Food is good, interesting twist on Chicago dogs that are in fried potatoes and served almost for dog style.

Nice place, nice bartender, good beer selection. I happened to be there after the kitchen had closed, so the potential for 5 stars is there, but I'll have to come back another time to get the full experience.

My friends and I went here last night for dinner as a fun reunion, catch up meal. The atmosphere is perfect for this kind of night. There are big comfy booths (and even though we were in Oak Brook the Old Town downtown even has a personal TV at each booth so you can watch your choice of the game). The restaurant was a loud bar atmosphere but you didn't feel like you had to scream, so perfect for a fun night out with friends. We treated ourselves to a bottle of wine, which was hard to choose because the wine list, in fact the whole alcohol list is extensive! I would definitely say that this is the restaurants best attribute. If you are looking for a classier drinking night with some buddies, and a handful of food options to choose from this is the place. They have everything from a wine menu, to a beer menu to even a whiskey menu. It is a book filled with choices and definitely makes for a fun night! The drinks are on the pricer side but great for a special night. We ordered two sets of appetizers. The must have item on their appetizer list are the cheese curds! They are fried to perfection and the cheese is warm and gooey. I would go back for a bottle of wine and cheese curds alone! We also ordered fried pickles. This is one of my bar food go-to's but I was a little disappointed. They were extremely over battered to the point that you forget there was a pickle tucked away inside. Nevertheless, the cheese curds definitely made up for the fried pickles. For dinner I ordered the pork belly grilled cheese. This is loaded with cheese, braised pork, tomatoes, and an egg over easy. This is definitely not a dish to eat on a light stomach! The sandwich is huge and I thought the egg really added to the sandwich. Plus the pork on the grilled cheese- genius! However, this is definitely a grease ball sandwich. I thought one half was definitely enough. Overall, I think that this is a great addition to the mall. Oak Brook needs a casual place for people to catch up in between shopping. I wouldn't say that the food is anything to cry home about, but it is good bar food that compliments their extensive alcohol list! If you are looking for a great place to eat there are better restaurants in the mall. But, if you're looking for a fun quick place to grab a drink and take a break from shopping this is definitely the place.

If you are a beer fan, this is a must visit place. Since I am not, I am reviewing my dining experience. It was okay. The pretzel bites were served warm and bite sized. Not a fan of the Gouda cheese sauce they were served with, but just a personal preference. My smoked brisket was tender and flavorful. My dining partners could not say that about their filet mignon smalls, which is their fancy name for sliders. I am told they were too chewy and not cooked properly. Dessert menu is limited, there were 2 choices offered to us. The one selected was something like a butterscotch bread pudding, my dining partners ate some of it. Ambiance: it has a warm feel to it. Large bar area with TVs, dining area, a separate room for a small, about 14, party. There is an outdoor dining patio with a fireplace. Very welcoming, but remember that is in a parking lot next to delivery area and garbage receptacles. I would think the fumes from the deliveries would spoil ones appetite during the afternoon, but be more enjoyable in the evening. There were at least 2 deliveries during the time we were eating lunch, we ate indoors. I would visit again.

Came here to watch the Blackhawks game and found a nice laid back atmosphere with a decent outside patio to take advantage of. Located in the mall, I can see this becoming a quick stop after shopping and especially during the summer months! We tried a variety of items that included the pretzel bites which were so good, the cheese curds which I think may have been the best I've had! Both the curds and bites came with dipping sauces which I didn't think much of, but that was ok because both were good on they're own. The buffalo shrimp were great and the filet sliders just so-so. Did I mention they have beer, beer and beer?!! For someone who loves craft beer you have to come. If your a newbie to the world of craft beers, they offer beer flights. I've never seen so many beers on tap! They have cider and wine, and cocktails too. A good spot after shopping to relax and enjoy.

High end sports bar blasting retro 70's music. The space is very nice, and very busy. Our reservation was seated right on time. It looks like a very cool outdoor patio outside during summer....with nice gas fireplaces, if you can get past all the cars pulling up to the valet parking attendants. Valet parking for $4 bucks was nice too, since it's impossible to find a parking spot anywhere close to restaurant row at Oakbrook Mall. Great selection of beer on tap.....over 50. Why only 3 stars? The food was average......nothing special. Burger was OK. For the location and prices, it was a little disappointing. Our group also had the pulled pork sandwich (average) and filet sliders (small and disappointing). I would go back and try something different........so, A-OK for now.

Overall very positive experience, can't wait to go back. Great selection of beers, decent wine and cocktail menu. Beer samplers are fun way to try several different beers. We had the fried pickles, pork belly grilled cheese, and BBQ chicken salad, all were very good. Sandwich was huge and very tasty. Salad was a bit over dressed, definitely should have gotten the dressing on the side. Outdoor seating is great, huge area but you don't feel like you're sitting next to a mall parking lot. Next time we'll try the small plates and make sure to save room for the desserts!

The only reason I'm giving this place four stars is because your fried pickle batter is too doughy. It would be great on fish, I'm sure, but there needs to be thinner batter. I was looking for a crunchier bite. I want to make note the chef did bring me out a new order because he agreed, but they came out the same. It is definitely the batter. Other than that this is a great spot. The beer selection is good. The other food we got was good. A+ on sports bar factor. I look forward to giving you guys five stars the next I visit!

My first and last time dining here, for sure, por seguro! I rarely drink beer and went out with my daughter, her girlfriend, and her mother. A sort of Mother/Daughter night out! Company was great but food and atmosphere were below par. I ordered the lobster roll, which at $18.95 should have been decent. There was less than 2 oz of any fish and question if it was really lobster? The roll was too buttered. The side of fries were over salted and cold. Ordinarily I would have complained but it was noisy, busy, and I was with other people so I let it slide. My friend's mom ordered the pulled pork sandwich, which was not much more than 3 ounces, was also cold and cold fries. After all, I am the one who booked this reservation on Open Table, which is a necessity to get a table on a Friday night at 7pm., ANYWHERE in Oakbrook center Mall! BTW, most tables are bar height. I am 5 feet tall so I literally had to climb onto the stool/chair! So short people, beware! If you love beer, are under the age of 40, then you might a like this place, which is a step up from a local college bar. Plus, you better have a Champagne wallet because this is not an economical place to eat/drink. But, hey this is the western burbs of Chicago and it is a price to pay. Even Valet parking is $4, which is ridiculous since there is no place to park because of ALL the restaurants: Perry's Steakhouse, Wildfire, Maggianos, Mon Ami Gabi, Cheesecake Factory, and now Old a Town Pour House. The only way to enjoy this place would be to meet a friend for a beer and sit at the bar. The beer selection is pages long, too! On a positive note, our waitress was very efficient and brought us extra water and allowed us to sit and chat and not clear off the whole table to get us to leave! We left her a 30% tip!

The service was absolutely terrible here!!! It took almost 15 /20minutes to have a server at our table to order drinks. And they were not busy. We had much better service next door on Valentine's Day at Wildfire. Along with the terrible service, I wouldn't go back because of their food selection. They have two pages of food and the rest of alcohol. I ordered their burger and it was tasty. My gf ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with other things and it didn't look very good. The sandwich was falling apart and was supposed to come with meat but barely had any. Based off of this experience and their menu I would not go back nor highly recommend this place.

The appetizers at this place are great. I love that they have cheese curds and fried pickles. And there is just so many different kinds of beer! I've been here numerous times and always had great service. I will definitely be going back soon. The location is great as well very close to all of the stores at the mall.

I made several attempts to have dinner here with friends...third attempt was the charm! The other two times we had a conflict and well, couldn't seem to make a reservation for that date/time either for some reason and I'm not sure what they had going on at the place on those particular times. I'm glad we made a reservation just because of the area, and lots of offices in the area, etc. I didn't notice a wait on a Thursday after work but reservations are just good to have no matter what so yes, you can make a reservation on their website. So I guess they have a big beer selection here...I'd say so, just because it takes up most of the menu, the food section is much smaller. It was a big loud as the blackhawks playoff game was on. They have a nice patio in front too. This place is a bit on the pricey side, I want to say it cost about $16 for a flight of cider beer, $8 for a glass. I had both. I had filet mignon sliders for my dinner that came with a side of fries...good, but more on the appetizer side. There were many things on the menu I'd still like to return and try - both beer AND food so yes, I want to come back here.

I have been to brewpubs and craft beer bars all over the U.S. The prices here are certifiably insane. There's no real rhyme or reason either. Typically you'd see prices vary with alcohol content or rarity...none of that here...something with 10% abv is the same price as something with 5% abv...then something with 8% is $8. Overall average beer price is $7....that's intense. The food. Average at best. My wife had fish and chips and had a glowing review "it's not too greasy." I had a smoked chicken salad that literally had the meat equivalent of a McNugget on it...I thought maybe I was on a hidden camera show. 90 drafts or not, there much better options locally.

Saturday afternoon, not crowded, great service. I had a wedge and the chili. IT WAS EXCEPTIONAL, I'm impressed, and I'm not easily impressed! Lots of TVs, KILLER beer selection, and solid food! Id come back, and I'd recommend to my friends!

Great set up and the food isn't bad but the staff was not on top of their game. Kitchen messed up my meal, waiter over charged our bill by accident and they dropped the ball on several basic requests. Too bad if the staff could get everything together this place would be a 4+ star all day.

I've been here twice. It was okay I really enjoyed the Buffalo Shrimp but it was pretty pricey $14 bucks for 4 shrimp. Make sure you make a reservation or else you will be waiting awhile. The drinks are average I had a Moscow Mule. I think everything is a bit over priced but the atmosphere is cool and the staff was attentive. I'd go back for a full meal.

We were here on Saturday, during March Madness. They warned us that they were not accepting reservations, because people came to park it all day and watch the games. We risked it anyways, and I'm glad we did! Kind of cool (new to me at least), that they took down one of our numbers and sent a text when a table was ready. Who needs the extra stress of one of those light up vibraty boxes, when we constantly check our phones anyways? Even tho the bar had no seats, we were still able to get quick service for a drink while we waited, and the aisle we stood in was wide enough that we weren't too much of an issue to people going by. The place seemed full, but we were able to get a table within 15 minutes. Score!! We ordered two apps- fried pickles and cheese curds (~$7). BEST FRIED PICKLES OF MY LIFE. I have been searching for a place that makes the actual chips, instead of stackers or spears. This is the place for them! They have a good, thick layer of batter on them, and they puffed up a little with the frying. It preserved the pickle inside, keeping the flavor intact. The cheese curds are a white cheddar I believe, or maybe just mozzarella, you get a lot of them in the basket, and they come with a smoky tomato dipping sauce. It was a little too smoky for my liking. I preferred them plain. For my entree, I had their burger ($13) - with white cheddar, fried onion ring and parsley fries. The burger had a good grilled taste, but it over powered everything else on the burger, and I couldn't really taste anything else. The fries were good, nothing too special, and they didn't give you that many. I ate half the burger and some of the fries, but they wrapped it up for me and only gave me the burger. Bummer. I know to ask next time. I had two of their ciders, the Blue Gold ($8), which had blueberries as a flavoring, but I couldn't taste those.. still a good cider. Their cherry cider came in the smallest glass of all time, but was pretty good. I would definitely come back here. Service was quick and efficient and food was pretty good. I would try something else next time but definitely order the pickles again! :)

Love the atmosphere here! It's relatively small restaurant as only few booths and no real specials on food neither on drinks as at other bars. Nevertheless, large TV screens with very nice fireplace patio area outside. Huge selection of beers, love how they have description about each beer on their menu. Service is fast. Food wise, it's somewhat hit or a miss depending on the food. I had calamari and burger and both were bland, calamari bit pricy for the quantity and value. Granted brisket sandwich I did like. So basically, great place after work to have a drink some snacks, not necessarily best option for bar food as oak brook has plenty of restaurants to choose from. Wish parking was easier, but it is what it is at Oakrbook.

I LOVE this place. There are seriously so many beers to choose from! The food is pretty good too. I went there with coworkers one night and was instantly greeted by a friendly bartender. He was so great. And suggested a good amber ale for me. Definitely will be back again :)

The service was HORRIBLE. The first time we were there was in mid afternoon (around 3) on a Saturday. We sat in the patio, which was busy but not crowded. The waitress preferred to stand by the waitress station and stare off into space. At one point I did manage to catch her eye, she looked right at me and then turned and walked away. I figured it was just a bad day for her and we decided to give it a second chance. The second chance was mid afternoon (3:30) on a Sunday. We sat in the patio again, which was much less crowded than the last time. And we continued to sit, for 20 minutes, with no waiter or waitress in sight. We didn't even get water on the table. So we got up and went across the way to the Reel Club where we sat outside and had excellent service. We ate pickle chips on our first visit, which were kind of gross. We were there for drinks so that's all we had. If the pickle chips are any indication of the rest of the menu I feel like we didn't miss much.

I love beer...so this place was perfect for me. We're talking 90 or so beers on tap, your selections are basically endless. They have pre-selected flights, and you can even create your own. Something unique, is that they have a limited batch list with cool beers you may never see again. I got to try Goose Island's Sake beer...amazing if you get to try it! The food menu is full of unique, yet common options. Truffle mac and cheese, pork belly grilled cheese, and mini filet sandwiches to name a few. They have great outdoor seating, and have heaters and tv's outside which is going to make watching football outside in the fall spectacular. Inside you get to see the awe inspiring wall of taps, and more tv's. If you like Hopleaf, you'll love this this place!

My fellow Yelpers. Now we have another reason to visit Oak Brook Mall. Old Town Pour House has beer. *Cheer!* They have at least 80 different kinds of beer. *Cheers louder* And they're all on tap, making it easy to have short pours, sample different brews and my favorite, the beer flights. *Cheers, whistles, standing ovation* *has to shout over cheering* there's wine and a fully stocked liquor wall for those that don't want to drink beer. Now that I have your attention...there's more. There's an nice menu of eats too. Danielle S tried this wonderful-looking bacon and caramelized onion burger. *Intrigued* And there's other good stuff. For example, the Grilled Cheese *Cheer!* There's Pork Belly in it *Cheers louder* And a sunny side up egg *Incredulous Cheering* And it's served with a side of the creamiest/flavorful tomato bisque for dipping. It was pure heaven. *Cheers, whistles, standing ovation* Service is great. Knowledgeable about brews. Glad to see they have a short list of seasonal brews too. That's how I got to try 4 Elf by Dark Horse and the Christmas Ale by Great Lakes. If you have to catch a game, there are many Flat Screens for your viewing pleasure, but no worries non-sports people, it's not intrusive. Great space. I'll be visiting again soon.

We went for the second time tonight. I will start off saying the service was great, and I love the space. If you do go stick with the beer and any appetizer with cheese. I had the filet mignon smalls, the meat was cooked perfect but there was no flavor! the "horseradish sauce" and Caramelized onions were lacking in flavor. My husband ordered beef brisket sandwich and it was literally all fat...we sent it back (which we rarely do!) and ordered a burger which was just o.k.

I think I have found the love of my life. First off, this is located in the Oak Brook mall (across the parking lot from the Cheesecake Factory). Parking isn't fun, but you'll have that. When I first walked in and saw all of the beers on tap, I thought I died and went to heaven. there are 84 (YES) beers on tap. Nothing is bottled. They are from local breweries from around the country. There is literally something for everyone. If you don't like beer, there is a nice wine selection as well as liquors. You can try any beer you want, or create your own flight. They have suggested flights in their menu as well. I ended up trying the Tangerine Wheat (almost like a Blue Moon with orange...only more orange tasting). It was very good! They have a nice food selection with a variety of treats. Aimee M. ordered the pork belly grilled cheese and said it was very good. I ordered the Angus Burger with blue cheese and caramelized onions and bacon. Holy cow...it was amazing. Good food paired with good beer! Our waiter was very helpful (in his words they are all beer geeks there, so ask any questions you have!). Everyone was friendly and the service was quick. The atmosphere is nice as well - dimly lit with a large bar, plenty of other seating, and TV's scattered. It's like an upscale sports bar. I can't wait to come back and make more of a dent in those 84 drafts!

I went on Valentine's Day night with some friends. We each got a free glass of champagne and a chocolate covered strawberry, which was a great touch. We had the firecracker eggroll appetizer, which was amazing but definitely very spicy! We also had the fried pickles appetizer, which was delicious. I had the chicken sandwich, which was coated with corn flakes. It came with a bunch of toppings and tasted great! I will definitely be back in there soon. I am not a huge beer drinker, but their drink menu was expansive. Some of the cocktails seemed overpriced. I wanted a Bloody Mary, but they only serve them on weekends until 3pm so I didn't get to try it.

I know this is kind of odd but i a literally writing this review fro the pot! I went into The Pour tonight and ordered the meat and cheese plate. When I got it I ate some of the meat and told the bar tender that it smelt and tasted bad. He took it away and I saw him go to some guys at the end of the bar, were they the owners? Anyway, they charged it for me, and here I am writing a review of it from the commode. My stomach is a mess. I just cancelled my meeting for tomorrow. They did not even give me my money back! ugh. Lets see, I make $ 90.hr so that is $360 my company is out plus the pain of being sick. Be careful to only drink the beer! Crap! I need to go back to the toilet!

Today was the perfect day for owners & managers to give employees a life skills test. The staff there all got A+'s for handling a bad situation so well! Around 1:45 p.m., the OB Mall grid that supplies electricity to this restaurant, Reel Club, Wildfire, Cheesecake Factory, Mon Ami Gabi, Maggiano's, Corner Bakery and albeit, closed for lunch Perry's, experienced a bit surprise - an electrical outage. There were 2 warnings of short bursts of a loss of electricity, and then a boom, when all 25 TV's went blank, no AC, nothing. Fortunately for my friend and I, our meal was finished, and Kelsey was delivering our dessert. What a class act these people at Old Town Pour House were. From Kelsey, to other wait staff, managers, hostesses, etc. Everyone remained positive and kind, with smiles going on all-around. We knew it was best to take care of the check immediately, and it was nice to not feel rushed. No one complained, only apologies were offered. Potential diners were told the situation. Diners in the restaurant were told to remain as long as they wish. Everyone acted as professionally eloquent as possible. We couldn't decide between the outdoor patio or inside, near the TVs and bar, so we chose a table right next to the window leading to the patio outside. Perfect! Now for the food. Being the 1st time dining at OTPH, we decided to try a few items. We split a cup of the chili. Thankfully, we split a cup. I've never had such a tender, beef laden (to the tune of about 1/2 pound of meat) chili, which was topped with crème fracihe and a perfect accompaniment to cut the heat of the chili. We split the BBQ chicken salad and the cheese burger, both of which were return worthy. The nice portion of BBQd chicken was delicious, as was the jicama, corn, black beans, onion strings and interesting greens. The cheeseburger was grilled to a perfect medium, with lots of cheese and fresh lettuce, tomato and a big purple onion ring. The olive oil and parsley fries are addicting! We had lots of leftovers boxed so we could try the bread pudding, which was delicious. For $7, the nice size serving was every bite decadent and delicious, the raisin ice cream on top blended perfectly with the caramel on the bread pudding. I may be in a small minority, noticing and either liking or feeling noncommittal about utensils a restaurant uses, but I like OTPH's, especially the water glasses. Kind of a squarish shape of clear, heavy plastic. The water glasses are so cool to use, I want to find them for my house. All in all, another winner for a lunch or dinner with friends, or to watch a Bears and/or Blackhawks game when their seasons start.

Love the variety of Beers on Tap(but all I can think about is their cheese curds. They were so airy and fluffy and yet still squeak as you bite into them. The Buffalo shrimp was a great presentation but I wasnt crazy about the sauce as it was very strong and sour for me.

The service here is poor...the waiter was attentive at first then he disappeared for 30mins. The pork chops were amazing, beef burgers were good, the turkey burger was undercooked and was sent back. The wait for the food was way to long and it was not that crowded.

As a fan of the original Old Town Pour House located in Old Town (clever name, eh?) I was skeptical that they could pull off the same upscale, sports bar vibe in a location that is basically in a mall in the burbs. Part of what I like about the Old Town location is the constant activity, the whir of people coming in and out and the windows that open out to the street. So how did this newest sibling fare during my recent visit? Pretty good. And given I work right across the street and am always looking for somewhere to meet up with friends in the area, the Pour House will certainly go on my list as a choice for both lunch and dinner. The interior, while smaller than it's sibling, is contemporary with copper topped tables. There is a large patio out front complete with a couple of fireplaces that will certainly see it's share of business during the warmer months although I'm hoping there will be a ton of greenery to block that you are basically looking out at a filled parking lot. We were warmly greeted and shown to our table. They have a ton of beer (about 80 different types) but also a great selection of whiskey so my whiskey lovin' friend was very happy. The other nice thing is that it looks like the menu is the same as the one at the other location so my chopped salad was just the way I remembered it and my friends brisket sandwich was also to his liking. They also have the pork chop that I've had at the other location so that will be mine to eat at a future visit! People watching on this night was limited as there were only a few other tables that had people at them, but given it had only been open a week, I am sure that is going to change. The only down side? If you are going to open a restaurant about beer . . .then the servers need to understand the differences in the beers. My friend is maniacal when it comes to beers so he will ask questions just to see if the server, bartender or sometimes even the manager know their stuff. In this case- the server got a failing grade, but a quick trip up to the bar restored his faith in the place as the bartender was on his game. Speaking of games- you can be sure to catch your favorite one here as there are plenty of TV's for you to watch without a bad seat in the house. And know before you go- that unless you want to add exercise to your evening's activities you should probably use the $4 valet out front. Sure- it's in a mall with tons of parking- but because this sits on the east side of the mall with many other restaurants and limited parking- parking is very hard to find. Dinner with drinks ran about $80. Always nice to see a familiar "city face" find it's way out to the burbs. Just makes the burbs a little more interesting. Check it out!

Such a fun place. Great appetizers and drinks. Our waitress so so attentive and helpful in getting our food and drinks quickly. Best part was the 80s music. Great girls night out

Food is okay. Not worth the price. Truffle mac and cheese tasted more fishy than cheesy. Service is horrible as I had to walk up to the bar tender to get a refill of club soda. We will go somewhere else when we are at the mall. If you are a beer drinker and sit at the bar, you are safe to go. Otherwise save your cash and go somewhere else.

I went here for lunch today and did not have a good experience. The burger I got was lukewarm at best, and they did not bring me any ketchup with it. When I asked the busboy for ketchup he went to the kitchen and didn't come back for over 5 minutes, so I then had to ask the waitress for it. My friend's fries were lukewarm and soggy as well. And our food took over a half hour to come out even though the place was not crowded at all and we only ordered sandwiches and salads. When I went to wash my hands when I arrived, I saw one of the chefs leaving the bathroom and subsequently noticed that the sinks were nearly all out of soap (at noon on a Monday no less). After the meal my friend went to the bathroom and he said the bathroom was still out of soap. So clearly the lazy chef didn't tell any employees to refill the soap, or the manager was too lazy to replace it, and/or the chef enjoys cooking the food with dirty hands. And lastly, one of the waitresses had a very low cut top on that was not very attractive, and she was showing off some tattoos on her chest. None of the other waitresses were dressed like that, and it looked rather trashy for a relatively high-end sports bar in a shopping mall.

Went in 3 hours before hand reserved a table to watch the Bulls playoff game on their big TV. They agreed so we went shopping and came back hours later to find 3 older men sitting at the table. Lucky there was a open table next to that one. The hostess then explained the older men put up a fight to sit there. Apparently reserved doesn't mean reserved. I told the men thanks for taking my table and he screamed at me, you're welcome. They have a nice big tv but there is no sound for the game. Another couple next to us were complaining there was no sound just bad 80s music. We asked the manager why the sound was off. Apparently the owners only pay a DJ for the Hawks games. The couple next to us ended up leaving. The manager seemed kinda unacommadating about the situation. As we traveled from Palatine to eat there. It's just honestly kinda sad how they treated us like we weren't good enough to bother playing the volume or giving us our reserved table. Kinda sad that's how cooperation type places work. I was just disappointed with my experience won't bother going back.

If beer is one of your food groups like it is mine, I highly recommend checking this new bar out. They hand you a menu that I mistakenly took for a food menu. Turns out, there are 6 pages of beer, 4 pages of wine, 1 page of whiskey and only 2 pages of food. Plus, there's a seasonal beer menu, as well. Feels like home. I love that you can try pre-made beer flights or MAKE YOUR OWN BEER FLIGHT!! The servers and bartenders know their way around a keg and speak beer. So far, so good on their recommendations. My companion says they have a shockingly good whiskey collection; something foreign to me, so I'd take his word for it. He happens to be a bartender, as well. Oh, there's also a "DJ." Or a dude with a MacBook playing music. Either way, not disappointed!! 5-star rating if it weren't for just one thing... It's located under Neiman Marcus next to 4 Lettuce Entertain You restaurants and another brand new joint. Translation: no parking. You can valet for $4; this is Oak Brook, so many will be willing to pay. Meh. We parked by Cheesecake Factory and hoofed it. Try it, you'll like it!

Why a 3 star? I am a big fan of gastropubs and craft beer...so I had to try out this spot. Looking at the reviews, it seems some people ran into "ex-employees" or didn't know what to order. True, they seem a little chain like, but everything is done well. The only gripe was the wait but you expect that from a good resteraunt on Saturday night. However, when we sought out the bar, the service was superb. An incredible list of beers, including sours on tap, which are rare. The food was equally outstanding. Including cheese curds and my pork belly grilled cheese. Trust me, don't trust the 3 star rating, be prepared to wait, use the $4.00 valet and enjoy some great food and beer. Oh and the music just adds to the atmosphere that you need after a long week of work.

Have been here a few times and enjoyed sitting outside on the patio with friends. Flights of beer and pretzel bites with Gouda cheese dip are a great choice. Tonight however, not impressed. Came with my husband for his birthday dinner and did not make a reservation - my mistake, I admit. We arrived early though - 5:20 - and still told it would be a 30-40 minute wait. One hour later - after a drink at the bar at least - we still were not given a table for two. So - back to Elmhurst we go to our reliable and always enjoyable choice...Pints!! Goodbye pretentious Oak Brook establishment!! Although I was looking forward to a bowl of delicious chili. Maybe we will come back during off hours...

I hate to give this place only three stars because the atmosphere is really cool and they have an AMAZING draft beer selection. I work fairly close to here, and they are open pretty late so I always stop by with coworkers for some drinks after a long day. This past weekend a friend of mine and I decided to have some awesome beers a few appetizers and enjoy the beautiful day. The restaurant was fairly slow so we were quickly seated outside. My friend has never been so I made some recommendations of some of my favorite beers here (Kentucky bourbon barrel and the Belgium kwak) he loved both of them. I ordered two beers I've never tried, both were pretty good. I was surprised at how our server talked and made recommendations on the beers, as usually the servers aren't as educated on their liquor selections. However it is a pour house... We ordered the pretzel bites, pickle chips, mac and cheese, and fish tacos. I wasn't impressed with anything. The pretzel bites were and the chips were WAY too salty. I had to pick off the salt from the pretzels, and had to submerge the chips in sauce so I don't taste it. The mac and cheese was ok, nothing that anyone can't make better out of a box. The fish tacos were completely bland and not flavorful. Overall our experience was pretty good. Great vibe, attentive service. AWESOME beer. But, all of the food was extremely disappointing. I'll definitely be here again. This time I'll sit at the bar and enjoy some beer.

I've been to pour house a few times before because I also work at a restaurant in the mall and they have a great selection of draft beers. Unfortunately, their prices and horrible service overshadow they drink selections. Every time I've been there, the service is very slow and very rude. Tonight, the bartender closed out a tab for our party under the wrong card and came outside to let our party know. We were obviously confused and when we asked questions, she dragged us inside insisting that we were in the wrong when really our server was so non-existent we didn't even know where we had tabs open. Clearly a miscommunication within the staff. I wish I could say I've had better experiences here but they are all just terrible. I work in the industry and if I gave the kind of service this place does, I'd be out of a job. The only good thing is their throwback music videos. P.S.- Finish your drinks at least 20 minutes before they close because they kick you out before then.

This is an upscale sports bar with a large beer selection, pretty decent food, and has the ambiance of a cave in the afternoon with a bright entryway. I imagine it can get unpleasantly crowded during major sporting events.

I had been to Old Town Pour House on several occasions in their Old Town location for drinks with friends and always enjoyed it. I wasn't especially excited to eat at their Oak Brook location for some reason but was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and it was amazing! My friend ordered the chili and it was even better! My other friend ordered the Po Boy Salmon and.. Could it be? It was delicious and as a southerner.. He was pleasantly surprised! I tried bites of all the dishes we had and would recommend any of them. To make things even better- the restaurant has an extensive beer list. We each chose a beer based on our waitress' recommendation and were not disappointed. I have tried their flights of beer as well and would recommend them to anyone who wants to try a few of their beers. Overall- Old Town Pour House, you do not disappoint!

I've been here total of three times. The first was just for drink. Second and third time were for drinks and lunch. They do have a great selection of beer. The food is basic barfood that's not bad but it's not good. Middle-of-the-road quality, high-end cost. The last time I was there made up my mind I will never go again. Halfway through my $13 hamburger and a handful of fries I spot a hair on my plate. I get it I know this happens in restaurants probably more than we all like to think. Usually it's not a big deal, you call the wait staff over point it out, they get the manager, he comps your drink for next visit or drink for this visit or a meal or something. No big deal it's just an acknowledgment that you're sorry it happened. I told the waitress. She said she was going to go tell the manager. Came back two minutes later said the manager said that it was cornhusk. Cornhusks on March 3? I asked her to have him come out and explain this to me. He came out and gave me the same story. After making me wait probably about 15 minutes. This happened to me once before in a restaurant probably about 20 years ago and I haven't gone back there since. I see no reason to go back here either. I have been in business for 25 years and I've always lived by the motto that the customers right.
Went there during playoff to see the game because I been told the place has great sandwiches and a good beer selection. Well it's quite the opposite!!! Me and my wife were truly disappointed by the lack off flavor of anything we ordered! Start with the Chili with just shredded beef and some baldly seasoned sauce, couldn't even get through the half of it! Well then the house burger recommend by are bartender... Just the worst of piece of dried out meat I ever tasted and after mentioning that to the bartender they did absolutely nothing about it!!! After having to settle are tab $143 for two people witch is incredibly expensive for the tinny pours they had for servings. Needless to say, we never going to go back there nor any of our friends for that matter!!! No manager ever stop by besides the heavily overexposed underwear showing dishwasher that just keep on staring of my wife and I, making the this visit even more awkward. Ps. Thank you for the kind lady in the parking lot for saving us a spot !

Nick the manager is awesome. My cousin and I came in after a long bad day and he would help us choose drinks and even talk to us. Although we were both annoying he would listen to our complaints and stories. The service is truly amazing. I would definately come here during a good or bad day. Fireball shots all the way and steak burgers :)

Tasty food and great beer selection. I would definitely make a reservation if you come here because they get busy on the weekend!

Had a reunion here a while back. The drink selection was awesome. However, their food wasn't very impressive. I ordered more scotch to make up for my disappointment in the food.

This is one of my favorite places ever. The beer flights are great. You are able to create your own flights which helps when there are dozens and dozens of choices. The beer that they have there is so good that you will have more than one flight. Not to mention the food is delicious. I think the prices are reasonable because you are paying for good quality. This has become a new spot for my friends and I. We have a great time here. The one time I was there the waitress took the time to talk about the flights even though you can clearly see it was a full house.

Well if you don't care about good service and want to go to a place where you can get average or below food, then Pour House is the place for you. First and foremost the service is not good. Our waitress was like SNL's, Debbie Downer. There just isn't the musical interlude after her comments. The food is okay. If you get the fish tacos, they are a little salt, but otherwise okay. Sitting outside is nice. Good decor, tvs, etc. Additional bad news, this "I wish we could be like Beer Market or World of Beer," place won't give samples at all, but the waitress informed me I could purchase 6 oz. Beers for a price to try them out. If you work across the parking lot at Cheese Cake Factory, this place will guarantee you job security.

Wow pricey. Menu not much to choose from as far as a healthy dinner. I had fish tacos they were delicious however the taco shell was paper thin. The atmosphere classy for a beer pub. Over all it's a-ok. The service was very good.

The service did it for us. Jess was awesome. And the beer beer beer pretty much speaks for itself. Definitely go for some pretzel bites to start off. And don't get all foodie on the menu - it's a gastropub at best. Set your expectations accordingly and enjoy the visit. We're coming back for sure.

If I could give this place "zero stars" I would. I ate there this past Friday evening and it was my first time dining there and will definitely be my last. We went for a friend's birthday and our reservations were at 7:30pm, yet we waited until 8pm for our table. Once we were seated, it took our waitress a good 15 minutes to even come over and ask what we wanted to drink and we still had to ask for water. This water never was refilled throughout our entire meal, until we flagged the waitress down (one of the 2 times she ever came to our table) to refill them. God forbid my coffee ever got refilled and my girlfriend got so annoyed about never getting a refill on her diet coke, that she ended up going to the bar to get one. Then, there was the food... I thought maybe that would be the one redeeming quality of this place, but no such luck. I got the BBQ chicken salad and although it was supposed to have jicama, corn, black beans and some onion string toppers as well, what I saw was a plate of lettuce with chicken on top and 5 onion strings. I had to dig around to find the (no joke) one piece of jicama, and 1/6 cup of corn/black beans. Definitely NOT worth 14 dollars! My friend got the filet mignon burgers with fries which wasn't cheap either and literally the sliders she got looked like something just small enough for the American Girl dolls I used to own as a kid. Of course, that was accompanied by about 7 fries. Awesome. The only thing that looked halfway decent was the birthday girl's brisket sandwich, but she did ask for no mustard and yep, she got it all over her sandwich. The waitress also NEVER took our menus off our tiny table so we were squished the entire meal. I honestly don't know how this place is surviving. Must be the big screens and bar, but as far as a dining experience, it was pitiful.

Good beer list. OK food. "Single" ladies crawling the bar past 9:30 on a Thursday night in Oak Brook, if you catch my drift.

Mom chose this new joint for dinner on Wednesday night, their third day of being open. I think she chose it partly because it's new and she loves being able to brag to her lady friends when she's in-the-know on something awesome before they are, and partly because my dad is a beer snob who gets annoyed when places only serve bottles with nothing on tap and/or when places only have crappy water-esque options like Miller Lite or beers that come with fruit. So Mom called on their opening day to make a reservation. When no one answered, she hit a button to be connected with the manager, and Kevin the Manager answered and graciously took her reservation. Well-played, Mr. Kevin - my mom appreciated it. Two days later, with my mom radiating from anticipation, we arrive at this beer-lovers mecca. It's situated next to another new place, a fancy steak joint called Perry's, and in the same cluster of restaurants as Wildfire, Reel Club, Maggiano's, etc. It's kind of like they scooped out part of Neiman's basement and filled the hole with Pour House - and I'm certain this will prove to be a much better use of the space. Dark wood but lots of light (older folks will have no problem reading the menu), long bar with lots of seating and tvs, just the right mix of upscale touches in a comfortable pub setting. All bar-height tables plus some booths around part of the perimeter - I had to ask the hostess to seat us at a booth because my mom's bum knee makes bar stools too tough to get into & out of, and it was no problem for us to get a booth instead. Our waitress was pretty and blonde and great at her job. For a restaurant, one's mother might think the food menu to be a bit limited, but if you think of this as a gastropub (which is exactly the right description, IMO), then the menu is spot on. A handful or two each of starters, small plates, salads, soups, sandwiches, and entrees. Plus page upon page of curated beer choices, including a few flights, and a few cocktail and other fine liquor options (read = scotchy scotch scotch, and maybe some other stuff - you lost me in the scotch). First the important stuff - the beer. On the separate little specials card, my dad struck gold: a beer that had sat in a barrel of Wild Turkey. Oh my. Oh my my. Such delight. I highly recommend. Not too hoppy (which I hate - btw, did I mention that I'm not really into beer? Sorry. All credibility down the drain.) but with a multi-faceted taste that anyone with a tongue will love. He also had a Dirty Bastard, and I had an Original Sin cider (too sweet) and a 3 Philosophers from Ommegang, which was good but not worth $14. Most beers were in the $7-9 range, with some straying into the double digits. The beer wasn't cheap, but it wasn't cheap beer. On the food front, we started with the truffle popcorn - DO IT!!! You won't regret it. My dad hates everything except chicken wings and steak frites, and even he loved this popcorn - to the point of saying, "We should get that again next time." This does not happen. Next my dad & I both had the chili. No filler (beans), just meat on top of more meat. I liked it, and it is terribly filling - definitely enough for a meal. My dad wanted it to be spicier - I agree that it was a bit bland, but the waitress said they have some hot sauces (not just Tobasco) and sriracha so next time he might be persuaded to re-up on the chili and do his own spicing. The chili comes with a tasty little corn muffin. For main courses, my mom had the pulled pork sandwich, my dad had a wedge salad minus the bleu cheese, and I had the Niçoise salad. I thought mind was especially fun because it comes deconstructed on the plate. We were all pleased with our choices, though dad & I definitely didn't need both the chili and an entree - more food than we could handle! Total was around $100 - like I alluded to earlier, not your every night affair, but certainly a good small splurge; or you can certainly pay more attention to the prices and get out of here much more reasonably. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town, hope they stay busy and keep the whiskey-beer around until my return!

Great Draft Beer selection along with great appetizers. (Pretzel Bites, cheese curds and firecracker rolls) The service is much better at the bar versus the tables (as it has been hit or miss in my five times dining) but there are great views to watch games from the entire restaurant. I enjoyed the fish tacos and the sliders were tender and juicy.

The Old Town Pour house appeals to me mainly for it's respectable beer selection, though the food was pretty good too. The fish tacos were just decent, but the fried pickle chips and cheese curds appetizers were very good. A friend got one of their salads and wasn't happy with it, but overall it was a good experience.

Fantastic selection of beer including great beer flights in a fun setting. Our server was very knowledgable about beer & had great recommendations. I dined on one of the specials - blackened shrimp with andouille bread pudding. The andouille bread pudding was amazing. I highly recommend making reservations. It was extremely busy when I was there on a Wednesday night and those that did not have reservations had to wait.

I made reservations for a party of 8. Our table was not ready just yet, because dust was apparently covering our table. Appreciated that they were cleaning it, but shouldn't it have been cleaned prior to our arrival? Especially since we had reservations already? After being sat, the first thing we noticed, was the plastic cups that were on the table, which were provided for you to pour your own water, we're crusted with God knows what. We asked for clean glasses and we're basically brought a second set of dirty glasses. Absolutely pour service. Waitress forgot my clam chowder, and another patrons dessert. The dessert that was received, actually had a hair in it. We actually lifted the chunk of ice cream by the hair itself and suspended it for a few moments. They did take these items off of the bill, but regardless, it shows that this is not the place you want to bring your business associates.

Cool place to visit after some shopping at the mall. Great for the sports fan as they have one of the bigget tvs I have ever seen in a restaurant. I have never had issues with service or food.

Place was packed so I had high hopes. Selection is great. However, the food was horrible. I had the cheese curds appetizer and BBQ chicken salad and both were subpar. Overall, good bar environment but not the greatest for food.

Wow, this was a craft beer dream! My husband and I came and tried several different brews. It was great! The server knew a lot about the different beers and was very nice. The place was pretty cool and I know my husband and I will be back. It was a nice place to have a few drinks and then walk around a bit prior to driving.

The atmosphere was great, when we got there we were pleasantly surprised how many families were dining. As the time wore on those families were replaced by a younger, louder crowd. Suggestion: don't turn up the music when the noise level already is loud. The food was great also. We had the hummus, delicious. I had the chicken caesar wrap, very good. My husband had the tuna, cooked to his liking, excellent. The menu is quite limited as far as food goes, but we were all able to find something to our liking. On the other hand if you like to try different beers, then this definitely is a place for you. The staff was friendly but not as attentive as they should have been, we had to ask for water refills at least twice.

Ok so this is our second visit and the food is pretty good but the service is lacking. Both times with 2 different waitresses, both slighty rude. Almost as if it's our privilege to eat/drink here. Ummm, no. With all the different eating establishments here at the mall we have the privilege of choosing somewhere else to go. They boast a large selection of beer on tap but won't allow for small samples to decide what you'd like to order. I don't want to spend $7 on a beer I may or may not like.

Food great, husband had fish tacos which are worth it, I had pulled pork also worth it. Beer is over priced. No happy hour deal. The place is very loud. We had a bad waitress, inky interested in the single guys. Now that was the bad, as I stated our food was great. Mug you have diet restriction there is. It a lot of choices for food, but the food items are reasonable, this is a bar. Nice place for inside or out, however all restaurants in the area the outside faces a parking lot. The large screens were nicely displayed and they had a good selection on the screens. If you are in the mood for fish tacos or pulled pork this is a hit. Our waitress did not recommend the fish and chips!

I went here with friends shortly after it opened. I didn't eat there, but the drinks were plenty. I had a cider flight, which I totally loved because it helped me find a new favorite. While the place was busy, the service was still passable and there wasn't a wait for a table during happy hour on a weeknight.

It has been a long time since I have been out to the restaurants in Oakbrook Mall but I was pleasantly surprised when my friends and I pulled up to this place. They have an outdoor seating area that looked nice but was full when we were there. We sat at a hightop table by the bar and were served by a friendly, knowledgeable waitress (Jessica?). We were only there for drinks but all the food we saw going past looked and smelled delicious! The waitress helped one friend pick 2 beers that he loved, my other friend had their Tito's Texas Mule, and I had the French 75 - all tasted great. My only issue was that it was really loud in there despite it being only about half full (it was a weeknight) and it was hard to talk over the music. However, I would definitely recommend this as a drink spot and I am going to go back for dinner whenever I am in the suburbs next!

Once you get past Naomi, a rude take-out phone representative who disconnects calls under the pretext that they are pranks rather than taking orders, the food is above average as the restaurant attracting a middle-aged crowd is tweaking comfort food classics and integrating French cooking methods: 1. Chicken caesar salad. Dressing is too thick, no endive as represented on the menu, includes an odd addition -- a perfectly prepared hard boiled egg; 2. Pulled pork BBQ. Too sweet and pieces small, onion ring garnish and pickle stump a nice addition; 3. Grilled cheese. The bread is sliced Texas style -- overwhelming the gourmet comfort food ingredients. Not sure if the egg belongs in the sandwich. Tastes good one day old as the flavours meld; 4. Beef brisket shredded too mealy; 5. Great crispy and hot fries accompany the sandwiches. Order was intelligently packaged - hot and cold items separately and vented accordingly, condiments and utensils included.

A group of co-workers from the big Oak Brook Hamburger HQ visited the Pour House on Friday 2/28 around 11:30am for celebratory drinks. Upon entering, a number of us received rude service from the girl up front right as you walk in (including one of our directors and admins got similar treatment). I was personally informed right away to tell our group to move up front (away from the bar, away from where there were empty seats in front of the bar) and was also asked not occupy any of the tables as they were reserved. I was mildly OK with the table part, but the entire restaurant was empty including a large back area. And a little welcome and smile would have been nice. We did not have a reservation and apparently they were unable to accommodate us in any shape or form. We did sit and hover against the bar, going against the instructions we were given, but nobody seemed to come over to work with us and the bartenders took our cards and opened tabs. So I ordered two craft beers, both of which tasted great, but the first one was over poured and was served to me with a completely sticky glass and no cocktail napkin. The beer selection is impressive; they must have over 40 beers on tap. Most of the people in our group ordered a drink, some left after not being able to put their coats on the backs of any chairs (see above, apparently all tables were reserved for lunch). We did not have the opportunity to order appetizers or lunch, but most were hungry. The bar itself is upscale and modern, and they have an incredible TV behind that bar that must be at least 100" diagonal. Maybe even larger. And the place seems to have so much potential. So it was around 12:15, perhaps even a little later. 80% of the tables were still empty, and so was that entire back area. But we won't be back. At least I won't. Champps on Butterfield Road can always accommodate us, so can most other places in the area. What a way to celebrate our 2013 achievements after leaving Drury Lane!
Service was very good, ambience very good, food sucked. I got the crispy chicken sandwich for 12 bucks . The spicy chicken at Wendy's or club chicken sandwitch from McDonalds are Better than what I got. This one came with Luke warm fries and they tasted as if they had either been refried or tossed in cold oil. The sandwitch was definitely not worth 12 bucks . The menu had very little to choose from

Stopped her for a late Sunday lunch during the 4th of July weekend and surprisingly the place was not very busy. They have a patio so my husband and I sat outside. The food was really good; spicy firecracker rolls, smoked brisket and the Pour House burger. However, the service was unacceptable. I really have a hard time enjoying a meal when the servers are in filthy dirty Pour House T-Shirts (two stars gone) and do we really have to ask for a fork/knife and napkin? Also had to ask for appetizer plates. (one more star). The lack of set-up was an issue for every table around us and like I said, the place was not busy.

Service is slow when we first sat down. Food is not great just average. Had the pulled pork sandwich and it was OK but overpriced. Fried pickles was all breading and you could barely taste the pickles. Lots of front desk help and not enough waitstaff. Very loud and hard to hear each other. Won't be back.

90 beers on tap sounds good but still felt like a limited selection. Food ok, but I did not try much of the menu items. Will give it a second chance sometime. Reminds me of the yard house -0.5 star for layout and high volume throughout. 3-4 star place.

I am a frequent business traveler & came upon the Pour House after a long day of traveling. My colleague & I highly enjoyed the cheese curds & fish tacos. I also love my coffee & the coffee here was great. The servcie was excellent as well. Our service was attentive & they stowed our bags bags behind the hostess stand. My highest compliments come from the superb customer service I received a month after my visit to the Pour House. I needed a copy of my reciept for an expense report. UPon calling the restaurant, the woman on the phone was incredibly polite. She took my information & a manager called me back within 15 minutes. He then sent me a copy of my receipt within 30 minutes. This helped with the tight deadline I was on. As a business traveler, customer service is of utmost importance to me. coupled with great food, you have a winning combo. I will most definitely be back & will bring more business associates with me. Thank you to Mike & his team for A+ service.

The service and ambiance are great, the food not so much. The good: Tons of TVs and beer on tap. The appetizers were very good (cheese curds, ravioli, and wings). The bread pudding dessert was cooked to perfection and paired with a very good rum raisin ice cream. The bad: The entrees. The fish tacos were salty and the tortillas were soggy and slightly under-cooked. The pablano chili rice was a good idea, but not executed well; it was over-cooked, yet cold, and tasted like a pre-packaged rice mix you would find at Walmart. The kaiser roll used for the pulled pork sandwich was as hard as a Wilson football on a 10 degree day at Soldier Field....no joke. It's a shame because the pork itself was pretty good. The BBQ smoked chicken salad was pretty good - the chicken was full of flavor and the jicama was a nice touch. I got the sense that many of the things used for the entrees were left-over from the day before and simply reheated.

Love this place! The atmosphere is awesome. Very upbeat and fun, played great music and better yet- the HAWKS game! The food was really good. Although slightly pricier then I had hoped but it was a great time. My two minor complaints is that they cancelled our reservation from opentable after being only a few mins late (due to parking) so I didn't get my opentable points. My other small complaint was our waiter was a little too serious, the restaurant is fun - the wait staff should also portray that. But all in all I will be back!

My book club met here last night. Upscale place with a fairly impressive beer list. I appreciated that they had the options to have beer flights and/or a "short pour" (about 6 or so ounces) for about $4-$6 depending on the beer. So I tried a few things I normally wouldn't have tried. We had a great personable waiter, too, who knew about the beer and made good recommendations. Only downside is parking is a little bit of a pain, but they have a $4 valet if you don't feel like hunting for a space.

You can't beat the atmosphere. A few friends met up on a Friday night. Good thing we had reservations. This place was packed. The DJ was rockin' old school music from the 90's. Looked like the place could have turned into a nightclub after hours. My BF ordered the porkbelly grilled cheese sandwich. He enjoyed the 1st half of his sandwich which consisted of the porkbelly, cheese and bread. It also came with french fries and a tomato soup like dip. I assume it was for the sandwich. When he took a bite of the second half of his sandwich, there was a gooey substance oozing from it, this naturally turned him off. It apparently was an overeasy egg that is included in the sandwich. Needless to say, he didn't care for it and he stopped eating. I, on the other hand ordered fish tacos. They were okay, lack seasoning and did not finish my meal. We did however order the truffle popcorn, which I couldn't get enough of. Service was very good and I would definitely come back just for the atmosphere, the DJ and the truffle popcorn.

Went there on a weeknight and it was busy. Found a table in the bar where they have a nice tv. The place is trendy and food was above average. It took a few minutes to decipher the menu. Parking was difficult to find, but they have valet if needed. I would return.

I'm very surprised about the low ratings for this establishment. The beer selection is plenty, the energy is high and the establishment is clean. The only semi-complaint is that it is a bit pricey, but the food is good so I feel it's well justified.

Can we say 2.5 stars? No? Ok, then three it is. I was not familiar with this place at all, but I like beer and wanted to check it out. When I walked in I was surprised by how cool and modern this place is. It has an upscale feel. They were working on an outside fireplace, and on chilly nights next year that is going to be a real cool place to sit and drink. Inside it has copper table tops, leather (maybe faux?) menu covers, dark wood colors and good lighting. I went late in the afternoon and the place was not that busy. There appeared to be more staff than customers. Our waitress was not the greatest. She did not explain the menu, specifically the option to try to half pours (6oz) of the beers - every beer has a listing price of let's say 8/4. This means a full pour would be $8 but a half obviously $4. It's in the menu if you read it, but it's under the FLIGHTS heading so if you weren't interested in flights you may totally skip it. For a first time visit it's a little different and could have used some explaining. Our waitress was very attentive, checking on us very frequently, bust she also did not seem very knowledgeable. When we asked about one of the beers on the seasonal list, Accumulation, she told us it was from Boston (it's from New Belgium, in Colorado). She also mixed up and give us a full pour on something SHE RECOMMENDED getting the half in case we did not like it. We liked it though, and didn't even mention this mistake to her. The food was so-so. We started with the fried cheese curds and chicken firecracker rolls. We all agreed they were just strange. The batter for the cheese curds was too light, or too doughy, or something that we could not place but just felt it wasn't an amazing match... The firecracker rolls were missing the FIRE. They were just kinda there, bland. My friend ordered the truffle mac and cheese. I think he's kinda a connoisseur when it comes to baked mac and cheeses and he said this one was ok and that he has had better (he said that Three Floyds in Munster Indiana is currently the one to beat). I ordered the chili. It was great! The waitress said there had been complaints that it had been too salty so that backed off the salt, probably a good call cause I thought it was yummy! It was not spicy, so maybe they should have left a bottle of hot sauce on the table, but still it was rich and layered with flavors. If you like meaty chili dive in! I also had a few bites of the fish tacos. They were fine and if you like fish tacos without the fish being breaded I think you'll be satisfied with them. Now onto the beer. Our waitress said they have 86 different on tap. I was not super impressed by the selection though. They should maybe set the menu up not just by beer type and maybe added something like, "If you like ______ then you may also enjoy ____ or _____." (I hope that translates well in a YELP review). Now here is where things start dipping into the TWO STAR RANGE. I ordered off their seasonal list a stout that was barrel aged in a Wild Turkey bourbon barrels. I am very careful not to let my like or dislike of a beer change my review of a place. Some beers you like some you don't, that really should have little effect on how your review. What does is paying $10 for a beer and then later seeing you can buy a bomber of that beer at Binny's for $9.99. I know there has to be some mark up but on tap or not, that just doesn't sit right with me. Secondly, our table tried the Wonderful World of Wheat flight. Which consists of Bottom Up Wit from Revolution, Ebel's Weiss from Two Brothers, Krankshaft from Metropolitan, and Chainbreaker White IPA from Deschutes which costed $16. But if you go through the menu and order the same beers as half pours, you save a $1! (Krankshaft $3, Chainbreaker $4, Bottom up $4, Ebel's $4). That also just doesn't sit right with me. I really do not see myself returning any time soon...

Ok so let me preface this with the fact that this is my first review on this site. I am making it in an attempt to at least notify others of what lies at Old Town Pour House. (or at least how it was for my wife and I just last week). Let's start with the beers. Absolutely hands downs the best selection I have seen for beers on tap. Something like 90 beers I think they boast. Now they were out of quite a few of them, but I guess that can happen when you offer so many. But on the flip side if that is "your thing" you probably shouldn't be out of 6 different feature beers, but what do I know, I digress. Service was very short of mediocre. Our server's name was Nicole if I remember correctly. Our food came out wrong, like we said no tomatoes or egg, an OF COURSE it had both when it got to us. I am sorry but how hard is it to see a ticket that says no tomatoes and no eggs and make it without that!? Doesn't this stuff have to go passed the head chef before it goes to the tables? Just sad the lack of care that was shown to us. She asked how everything was and it was as if she had no recollection of me saying NO TOMATOES or EGG. I usually wouldn't care, but when she seemed put out that it need to be remade is when I started getting irked. When it was finally made correctly, I mean my god, the plate was like a heart attack waiting to happen. And then, after all of that, she stops by to let us know she is getting out of there for the night, gives me the check and tells me the closing server will get us anything us we may need. Like you have to be joking right!?!? In all my times out to eat, I have never had a server be so out and out selfish and rude about that. Everything we had was sooooooooooo heavy, and cream filled and just out right not up to par. We passe on dessert, but she never even offered it so again I was over it. Manager never stopped by, which was odd, especially since they completely messed my order up. I eat at a lot of the places in this area, an BY FAR this is the one which left the worst taste in my mouth (literally). I would go back for a beer, and probably sit at the bar. But with a menu/execution like that, I don't see them lasting very long with all the other great options in the area (i.e. Gibsons, Wildfire, J. Alexanders, Redstone, you get the point). I understand now why at best most of the reviews are mediocre for this place, although I think that is very misleading. Probably a decent spot for a before or after dinner drink, but otherwise it's a perfectly terrible waste of otherwise useful space in a great area of restaurants. The only reason I gave it 1 star was because it had so many beers, just none of the ones I actually wanted to try. They might want to rethink how they do things there, but that's just my humble opinion.

Great beers and servers! Can't really complain about the pricing of beer, because obviously it's going to cost more than 5 bucks for a beer that has more work put into it than piss water.

Should be called POOR house for the poor service. Went there on the10th of August and sat outside for 10 minutes and no one helped us. It was not even busy, there were four tables occupied. Then we get up and inform the manager and he replies, "Eh it happens" . Imagine the service if they do get busy!!! Never visit this poorly run house.

Great selection of beverages, went at 5pm on a Sunday. Waited 45 minutes at our table for a waitress! Found someone to ask where our server was, ordered beverages and an appetizer. Got the beverages... Over one hour for the appetizer to appear and our order placed. ( and another beverage ordered). Got our food at 7:30 pm! Yikes! It was okay, but probably would have been better if it had been hot. Soup was warm, and fried pickles were barely warm. Finally left at 8:30. Really would have like to tried a few more beers, but the service really was lacking. No one ever came to ask how our food was, we had to ask for the check, no desserts were offered. From these other reviews it looks like ours was unusual, however it was bad enough that it will be a LONG time before I would try it again. :( Very disappointing.

Wanted to like this place, and was there opening day, so maybe it will improve. Really not a brew pub - felt more club-like. Lots of 20-something employees in sport coats and moussed hair wandering around trying to look important. Self-important chef sitting in a booth arguing over the phone with a supplier. Good, but expensive beer selection - $16 for a preselected flight of four 4oz beers! Average food. I'll stick with something a bit less pretentious next time.

Wow. Great beer + wine + spirit/cocktail program. Excellent service and wonderful food. I'll be back!

We wanted to try somewhere new in the area and Old Town Pour House is one we hadn't dined at since it recently opened. We didn't have a reservation but the hostess found us a nice table right inside the patio, which made you almost feel like you were outside (which we wanted.) The ambiance of this restaurant is wonderful and the service was good. I don't drink craft beers but from what everyone else says, their selection is great. We started with the Buffalo Shrimp (because of a review I read here) and although the presentation was nice the shrimp themselves were like eating rubber with a tabasco type sauce on them. They were way over-cooked! What a shame to ruin such beautiful and large shrimp. Then, we tried the smoked brisket sandwich with butter pickles. What arrived was more like a brisket hash with diced/minced pickles mixed in. Absolutely no flavor whatsoever. Having been to Texas and eaten smoked brisket before, this was a huge disappointment. Lastly, we tried the bbq pulled pork sandwich. Again, no flavor and the driest, toughest pulled pork I have ever tasted. I had read the bread pudding was to die for but since they were batting 1000 already, we decided to save our money and calories because it probably wouldn't have been good either. The BEST thing I can say about the food....The french fries, which came with the sandwiches, were HOT and cooked well. With so many other restaurants available to go to for craft beers which have good food....why bother ever going here again?

I had the pork belly grill cheese sandwich. It was amazing!!! All of the people at our table loved everything. I would highly recommend eating here. And let's not forget the beer selection and the decor of the place was out of this world!!!!

A very disappointing meal. We had the calamari which was ok. The toasted ravioli was gummy. The lobster roll was subpar. The pasta was average. The beet salad was average. The wine was warm. And this was $100. I could not recommend this restaurant for the food. The waiter was nice but did not seem to care when we didn't eat much of our food and did not request a doggie bag.

Well, first thing, we nearly froze to death, Julie our server said "it's been a problem". Secondly the music was too loud and raucous and third a waaaay limited food menu and expensive for a half empty plate...Worst part was our server recommends the Winston Churchill bloody mary, and then after I ordered it came back and said it isn't available after 3 PM...Huh? BTW it was 3:10....As far as beer and wine, well lots of great choices there, but if you are in a group it's either high tops which I hate or half circle booths. All I kept thinking was, "I wish we were at Cooper's Hawk or Cheesecake Factory" Oh and I almost forgot the "Girls Gone Wild" type video that was played was awkward for me and the poor old couple next to me sitting with their grandkids...Very weird.

Food stinks, but beer selection is awesome. Over 100 draft beers on tap. Loud music blaring away doesn't help. If you like craft beers, you gotta check it out.

We decided to try this place to celebrate our son-in-law's birthday. I read the reviews, and did not go in with very high expectations, but you can't always NOT try something because of a few bad reviews as I've learned. However this place exceeded ALL aspects of service, taste, price, everything! We had a group of 5 adults and a child. I was afraid it would not be very child friendly but there were plenty of children there and there were menu options suitable for children. We showed up at different times due to traffic but our server was very attentive in noticing when new people joined us and making sure our drink orders were placed. I wish I had gotten his name because he was amazing in handling everything at our table. Our food was served promptly, with no errors, and we had 6 different entrees. All were delicious, especially my Filet Mignon Smalls, the perfect amount of food for a very reasonable price! The "kids" in our group really enjoyed trying several different beers, while the parents had mixed drinks. The atmosphere was fun and next time we will try to get a table outside. We had a great birthday celebration, our server even brought dessert with a candle. And there was no stupid birthday song or servers clapping or wearing funny hats, for which we were grateful. We will definitely be back to try this one again!

Beer was cold. Appetizers were stuck together. Lobster roll smelled more like a fish roll.. Two bites, cuz I wanted to make sure the first bite tasted that bad. Otherwise, the waitress did a really good job.

My husband & I went here for an after dinner drink on a Saturday night. Although the Hawks were playing, they were cranking 80's hip hop music so loud, we couldn't even hear each other talking while sitting side by side @ the bar. Did not care for the atmosphere... Just wanted to catch the last period of the game.

Nice beer list. Nice menu. Poor service. Appropriately priced for area although a little high for many suburban areas.

Great beer selection, loved the chili and the smoked brisket sandwich, much needed in the Oak Brook mall.

Valet parking and getting seated with a reservation right away was great. Very loud disco dance music was over whelming. I checked out the crowd, lots of older business men and groups of older couples trying to talk above the music. We had checked out the menu on line and when we got there, it was half the size. Our waiter told us that was for the downtown location.we shared the hummus which was good. The French fries were also good, sandwiches just ok. Service was good, but only tried one of the many beers because of the price.

Customer service was terrible. My wife and I were told by the hostess that there would be a wait of 45 minutes to an hour. We went to the bar and had a drink, then my wife went to check back to see how things were progressing. She was told the wait was 1 hour 45 minutes. The manager, who overheard the discussion between my wife and the hostess, said to give him a minute to see what he could do and he would find my wife at the bar. We had another drink at the bar and decided to leave. We saw the manager as we were leaving. He said he didn't find her because there was nothing he could do. He told us there was a miscommunication, implying that we misunderstood what was said. We said we would not be back and left. We were about 20 feet outside the door when he came running out calling for us. When we turned back to him he handed us his business card and asked us to tell all our friends. So we have decided to do what Nick asked us and let you know. Just about any place in Oak Brook would be a better place to spend your money than here.

(4)Kelsey K.

I definitley will be back to try the cider flight one day ... mmmm
(3)Eric Y.
(3)brian k.
Great great beer selection. A bit over priced though. Just had the turkey burger. Fries were incredible but turnkey burger was dry and unflavorful.
(3)Kelli M.
(5)Toni B.

(3)Candice G.
(4)Bill S.
(3)Stephanie L.
Very nice outdoor seating area & great beer selection. My date & I shared a few appetizers, that were okay. If we go back we'll have to try the entrees. Our waitress was Crystal & she was great. Very attentive & helpful.
(3)Rebecca C.

Says stays open till 1 but the kitchen closes at 10. We got in at 10:05 and there was no flexibility.

(3)T M.
This place has great potential, sadly some employees ruin it. DJ loves 80s hip-hop? Focus on customer service and smile... You work in a BAR! The service is hit or miss, after visiting 10 times I can confidently say the problem is lack of capable management. Great potential, just fire the GM!
(3)Jessica H.
Great place, nice patio with fireplaces. Amazing beer selections and custom beer flight options. Food is good, interesting twist on Chicago dogs that are in fried potatoes and served almost for dog style.
(4)Winston Y.

Second time here to this location and I have nothing but positive things to say. Jason's amazing great energy and very knowledgeable of the food and drink. Awesome spot and its next to great shopping
(5)Joanna T.

(3)Jason M.
(4)Christine T.
(4)Karen P.
(1)K L.
(2)Shane L.
Like every other chain sports bar.
(3)Victoria Y.
The appetizers at this place are great. I love that they have cheese curds and fried pickles. And there is just so many different kinds of beer! I've been here numerous times and always had great service. I will definitely be going back soon. The location is great as well very close to all of the stores at the mall.
(5)Janine K.
(4)Jason Y.
(2)Steve J.
(5)Nick S.
Great set up and the food isn't bad but the staff was not on top of their game. Kitchen messed up my meal, waiter over charged our bill by accident and they dropped the ball on several basic requests. Too bad if the staff could get everything together this place would be a 4+ star all day.
(3)Yolanda S.
(3)Matthew M.
Nice bar in the suburbs. OTPH gives you awesome beer, food and atmosphere. Expensive though.

(4)Christina C.
I LOVE this place. There are seriously so many beers to choose from! The food is pretty good too. I went there with coworkers one night and was instantly greeted by a friendly bartender. He was so great. And suggested a good amber ale for me. Definitely will be back again :)
(5)Meg X.

(4)Linda S.
(3)Danielle S.

(4)Norberto S.
Craft beer at its finest. Great flights and sample prices. Food is very good. But the beer is the best.
(5)Jon S.
(1)Olya Z.
Great place. Nice booze and beer selection. Better than bar food and the perfect place to watch any kind of a sporting game.
(4)Rebecca C.
(5)Boon K.
Love the variety of Beers on Tap(but all I can think about is their cheese curds. They were so airy and fluffy and yet still squeak as you bite into them. The Buffalo shrimp was a great presentation but I wasnt crazy about the sauce as it was very strong and sour for me.
(3)Ty R.

Great girls night out
(5)James L.

(2)Liz P.
This is an upscale sports bar with a large beer selection, pretty decent food, and has the ambiance of a cave in the afternoon with a bright entryway. I imagine it can get unpleasantly crowded during major sporting events.
(3)Patty K.

I've been to this place for a cocktail before, but today we decided to go for lunch. They sat us at a beautiful booth, but when we opened our napkin to lay it on our lap, wait, it was DIRTY! Not only was the napkin dirty, the silverware was spotty and didn't look clean either. At that point we should have ran out the door, but the server was kind and gave us new napkins/silverware. Food - I had the fish tacos with a jalapeño purée, it was good, but a bit bland. They should have had a mango/jalapeño purée. I tried to squeeze all the juice out of the lime for added flavor, but nada. My darling man had the corn beef sandwich, which he liked very much. The truffle oil popcorn was delicious. Will I go back, HELL NO! I just recently heard of another story from my son's friend who use to work there and it was not good. I'm surprised that a restaurant not even a year old, is not so clean.

(1)Angelica K.
(5)Danielle W.
Tasty food and great beer selection. I would definitely make a reservation if you come here because they get busy on the weekend!
(4)Julia I.
Had a reunion here a while back. The drink selection was awesome. However, their food wasn't very impressive. I ordered more scotch to make up for my disappointment in the food.
(3)Olivia C.
(5)Ed H.
(1)Sandra C.
Wow pricey. Menu not much to choose from as far as a healthy dinner. I had fish tacos they were delicious however the taco shell was paper thin. The atmosphere classy for a beer pub. Over all it's a-ok. The service was very good.
(3)Charlie J.

(4)Brian C.
(4)Jen H.
(5)Tony D.

(4)Naveed T.
Place was packed so I had high hopes. Selection is great. However, the food was horrible. I had the cheese curds appetizer and BBQ chicken salad and both were subpar. Overall, good bar environment but not the greatest for food.
(3)Leslie L.
Wow, this was a craft beer dream! My husband and I came and tried several different brews. It was great! The server knew a lot about the different beers and was very nice. The place was pretty cool and I know my husband and I will be back. It was a nice place to have a few drinks and then walk around a bit prior to driving.
(5)Eric J.
Incredible beer selection, big tvs, awesome patio with tv and fireplaces. My only qualm is the small portion sizes for the price.....and parking.
(4)Kelly E.
first time here. great choice in beer selections and really good bar food. lots of known breweries .
(4)Junell H.
(4)Regina H.
(2)Sandi T.
(4)Kelly M.
I went here with friends shortly after it opened. I didn't eat there, but the drinks were plenty. I had a cider flight, which I totally loved because it helped me find a new favorite. While the place was busy, the service was still passable and there wasn't a wait for a table during happy hour on a weeknight.
(4)Mary M.
(4)Sandra K.

One of two new establishments in Oak Brook Mall where Nieman's basement used to reside. It actually looks and feels like its been there for a while. I loved the décor and the food is far better than most bar food. Its a great place to go and sit outside during the summer months. Inside there are ample TV sets for sports, and instead of commercials, they show entertaining clips which are hilarious. There's been a good mix ratio of men/women. A good place to hang out with friends or go on a casual date.
(4)Khad M.
The menu had very little to choose from
(3)Amy R.
(2)Ryan D.
Third time here. Staff couldn't be nicer. Great high end bar food and Malory couldn't be more awesome!!!! Great place for a Saturday afternoon or Subday morning drink. Highly recommend this place.
(5)Carly G.
The service was great. Our waiter was very helpful. We ordered the fish tacos, they were great! We also got a side of Mac and Cheese, also good. Fun atmosphere.
(5)Cori E.
(1)Tobias L.

(5)Wayne H.
(2)Alex G.

Went there tonight and this place is small and too many Damn Kids! Really People its a Saturday Night, Kids belong at Chucky Cheese Not a Sports Bar. Rude Door guy and Will Not return unless you Blind fold me and Drag me there!
